Lovely and relaxing
Very clean, very quiet. Nice place to stay. Just remember that everything is charged for on top (ie electricity) so when it looks very cheap, add in electric, heating of the pool, linen hire. You also have to clean afterwards (or pay to have it done). All that said, I would recommend it, it's a lovely park and a great place to relax.

On checking in I was met with a very warm greeting and friendly smile from David the Manager and his Head Receptionist Marie Pier. They welcomed me to the Residence and then handed me over to Emily the Receptionist to complete the paterwork. She was a delight too. The accommodation was extremely clean and after a couple of technical faults, which were dealt with immiediately I settled in to unpack. I had a view of one of the 2 pools which was never overcrowded or noisy. Les Mas de Vertmarines is situated on one of many roads leading to the 'very safe for children' beach, which is about 500m away. I found the accommodation extremely good value for money, everything I needed was in the house and free WIFI was a bonus. There are many good value for money restaurants in St Jean de Monts.

A super holiday!
We stayed at Les Mas de Vertmarines in August 2011. the accommodation was simple but we felt well appointed - it had everything that we needed. The beds were indeed a little uncomfortable and we did mention this in our feedback to the owners. One thing that absolutely stood out was the friendliness of EVERY member of staff. I called on our journey to tell them that we would be late, my French isn't that good, but their English was superb. They also kept reception open for us an hour after it should have closed. The town of St Jean is lovely and there is a quiet and picturesque walk through the trees and dunes to the beach- perhaps not suited to buggies and pushchairs but certainly suited to bikes or a gentle stroll. The beach is beautiful - car parking is free if you choose to drive and the beach is clean and very well maintained. We found many suitable restaurants and enjoyed dining out. There is a cycle hire shop in town and you can rent out mutli-seated bikes which are so much fun!

Nice park, great holiday and as do many say child friendly. A nice road leads you right to the beach.

I do not understand what there child-friendly about this park. There is, beside the pools, nothing to do for the kids. On the spot where according to the travel brochures a playground should be, they have built apartments. We have never been able to find the path through the dunes to the beach and the distance to the beach was 1.5 kms (along a busy road) instead of 800m. Cottages were small and the beds bad. The teapot you had to rent separately and there were no wine glasses. Furthermore in the whole area no decent French cuisine can be found, and a trip takes more than 2 hours drive. The park itself lay along a very busy touristy road. In short, we will never go again.

A splendid park, wonderfully heated pools (25-26 degrees), very suited for families with children, small the gardens you can close. It has a very attractive, Mediterranean atmosphere. Our maisonette was entirely sea styled, everywhere shells, firehouses, sea gulls stuff, very nice. Also the dish washer and own washing machine was super to have! The only downside was that it was more further away from the town centre and the beach than was indicated in the brochure. That walk with a simple holiday buggy, was quite hard. The road you have to walk aren't all that good so you can better take the car. Nearby (approximately 10 minutes drive) 3 very big supermarkets. Unfortunately we also didn't have BBQ at our maisonette as was indicated in the brochure too. All in all: a super accommodation, if you don't mind not residing in the middle of town.
