leuke camping

We have just returned from our holiday. We stood with our folding trailer 14 days on the camp-site. It was very clean and tidy. In the pool you were indeed not allowed to do much but the place was, however, very tidy and clean. Entertainment did try terribly hard but did not really catch on. There were a lot of Dutch people on the camp-site. It is certainly, however, a must.

We have been here this year from 21 July to 9 august on this camp-site. It can be recommended to book early because not all places are great. If you are unlucky you will have a stand on a small spot, which the technical service uses as a racing circuit. This is the only downside. The beautiful places are at the top. The evening entertainment is late but that will be due to our rhythm according to the French (21.30). Everything what is written concerning the pool is correct, you can really do nothing there. We look back on a nice and cosy holiday where we met nice people.

This camp-site is very dependent on the weather, it is quite cold on a night. We were in a new (beautiful) caravan, which are close to each other. Take teacups along (the teacups present resemble eggcups). Mostly Dutch people and (noisy) French on this camp-site. The beach is within walking distance, ideal for oyster lovers (which we are not!) when the tide is out (meters of beach lie dry then) they can be picked up. The pool is tidy, but the surveillance is a bit too strict and slides only open at 2pm. Few places to play; 2 swings and 1 playground at the pool. Remark: upon arrival there is absolutely no information only cleaning instructions at departure. At the reception you find some things on a few pages of paper. In the village there is a hypermarket but at night there nothing else to do. Nice to have seen this part of France but we will not return here.
