Great site. High on the list of our favourites.
We mostly use this site as a stopover either on the way down south or on the way home ...... but we always try to include it in our travel plans. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful ... a big plus for us. The sanitary facilities / showers are clean / excellent ... never experienced any shortage of hot water. The stopover pitches are very large ... we have never needed to unhitch our towcar when parking up for the night. The restaurant is very very good ..... food and service are a very high standard. Finally, it is close to the autoroute and the approach roads are all very good ... no heart stopping moments due to narrow roads even in the village. Highly recommended.

Don't come pre-season!
The site is quite good situated in a lovely part of rural Burgundy. Good area for walking and cycling. The facilities for the size of the camp are good. However we were very disappointed that the shop, bar and outdoor pool were not open until 27th April, even though the camp was open at least a week before.

Attractive place to stay
This site is in a little village, in the grounds of a chateau (which now houses quite a nice restaurant). There is a large duckpond in the middle of the site. Our motorhome pitch was a reasonably good size, with a little stream running behind it. It was partially gravelled, which was just as well, because there was a lot of rain while we were staying there. As well as the restaurant, the site offers takeaway pizza, and there is a pleasant bar with internet access. The sanitary and laundry facilities seemed good. The on-site shop is very well-stocked. You can order baguettes there, to collect the next morning. All the staff that we met were friendly and helpful.

A very pretty camping, with super sanitary facilities. I recommend it for a night on your way to or from the south. Nice and payable food at the restaurant. Separate field with a playground and a pool for the kids. Pretty pool with a separate indoor pool! Many British and Dutch..

Pretty camping with mostly many Dutch and British. The pool was quite small, yet okay. The children could play there, a lot to do for them. The take-away meals were okay. The camping was located at a remoted spot, in the neighbourhood wasn't a lot to do, a minor disadvantage.

Very pretty camping of Les Castels, mostly used as stopover camping. Nice spots, nice playground, a lot of green, the pool for the kids was close to the playground. Nice and surveyable. The pool was too cold for this region. Tasty take-away pizzas and French fries. Quiet location, yet a bit remoted, no noise at night, the camping was quiet after 22:00, good shop. I recommend the camping to people who are looking for rest and to people with children. Teenagers will get bored here after a couple of days. Mostly British and Dutch guests, quiet ones though. A lovely camping, we would like to return there!
