Friendly, beautiful and relaxing
Very well located for exploring the area, this very small and well kept campsite did not disappoint. The guys that run it are super friendly and helpful. Very quiet and surrounded by countryside with amazing views. We recommend the weekky international evening, lovely food and fun with the fellow campers. We cycled into Hautefort and looked round the chateau, visoted the market and ate a lovely lunch. Sanitary facilities are basic but fine. The breakfast delivery service is great and the pain au raisin were fab! All in all a fantastic site made extra special by Simon and Cal who can't do enough for you. Will definitely return.

Wonderfully peaceful & tranquil small site
The site is in a lovely location, around 20min walk (5min drive) from a small village with local amenities, surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. The site itself is not huge, with only a small number of pitches, all of which have generous space, and we were lucky enough to get the biggest of the lot, down at the bottom of the slope, with views of the Chateau, beautifully lit up at night. The site is run by Simon & Cal (and Coco the dog), and they couldn't have been more helpful. We had a troublesome car, but they pointed us in the direction of a friendly garage who were able to sort out the problem there and then. Cal is also an excellent chef, and we enjoyed the Wednesday evening quiz night and food, with the other guests. Lovely to meet some like-minded souls from around Europe over a glass of vino - and we won! Overall, a good tranquil location... highly recommended.

at home !
We really like the way the owners are handling their campsite and make sure it's a quite spot on earth to fully enjoy. They should not change at all. We felt welcomed as family and left back home knowing we will come back without hesitation.

Perfect camping
My partner said to me as we left Belle Vue "I did not know that such a wonderful campsite could exist!". This is a small site (six or seven pitches) run by Simon and Cal, two Brits, who were wonderfully welcoming, friendly and helpful. It is called Belle Vue because the view of the spectacular chateau at Hautefort is breathtaking. The site is shady and in beautiful countryside. Simon met us and showed us round before we set up and in the evening Cal cooked us a meal which we shared with a delightful couple from the Netherlands. There is a small swimming pool, two electric hookups for fridges etc and a shower and toilet block. But most important is the great atmosphere created by Simon and Cal, who will even go into Hautefort and get your fresh bread and croissants in the morning! We loved it and will be going back.

Fantastic little site for families.
Simon and Cal are fantastic hosts from the moment of arrival. This small site has a real family feel and is ideal for those seeking a quieter experience. Our three children (7-11 yrs) loved the pool and had plenty of space for outdoor games. Good size pitches, giving plenty of privacy. Great base for the Dordogne region. Good local amenities. Simon delivers breakfast daily from the local boulangerie and the 'pop-up' restaurant Simon and Cal provide for guests in the old barn offers a simple solution for good quality food. We had a fantastic family holiday, with plenty of time outdoors.

Very relaxing, quiet location with a great view.
Great little site in the heart of Perigord with super-friendly and personal service. Ideal base for visiting the plentiful local sites or for just relaxing away from it all. This is our home from home in France!

FABULOUS
Simon and Cal are wonderful hosts along with Coco the dog! Peaceful site with wonderful views of Chateau. Nothing too much trouble for this pair from booking through to arrival and during our stay. Great pool wonderful for those hot days we encountered. Lovely meal cooked by Cal and nice touch to have breakfast delivered by Simon to your door and to have a bit of banter with him. It's these sort of personal touches that make this campsite special. Really felt at home from the moment we arrived and were sad to leave after 8 nights but will definitely return. Most visitors seem to be repeat guests and if you go you will see why. Surrounding area is beautiful lots of lovely villages and towns to visit. Wish we were back there!!!

FABULOUS
Brilliant campsite. Lovely friendly owners who will do anything to help you have a great holiday. Simon Cal and Coco are the reason this campsite has so many repeat visitors. Excellent meal on our first night Cal is a wonderful cook and Simon great front of house. Lovely touch delivering bread for breakfast and talking to everyone to make sure we were all ok. What we loved was that you knew the owners were there to help but they were not intrusive. Lovely location brilliant views of Chateau which looked lovely at night. Lovely village with restaurants just down road. All in all a brilliant place which makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive and a camping experience not to be missed. We will return.
