Hotel Pasiphae is in rural surroundings, about 400 metres away on a quiet flat road from the small fishing village, and shallow beach, of Skala Kalloni. It is popular with bird watchers. Most of the rooms overlook the spacious gardens and a lovely pool, but we liked ours at the back with a cool north facing balcony overlooking fields and mountains through eucalyptus trees. The spacious room was well equipped, and cleaned daily with fresh linen every three days. Hot water was plentiful. We saw quitea lot of the boss, and service was faultless, friendly and helpful. We went bed and breakfast; the restaurant was good and although by 15th September dinner was no longer served, there were still lunches and an excellent pool bar. As well as cafes, there are ten or so reasonably priced tavernas in Skala Kalloni, mostly very good. There are also mini markets, but the nearest pharmacy or ATM is in Kalloni itself. A bus service runs only in high season, but the hotel will help get a taxi.

Got back on Friday from 2 lovely weeks on Lesbos in hotel Pasiphae. Pasiphae is a beautiful hotel with a magnificent large swimmingpool. The rooms are verys imple but did have a refridgerator and airconditioning. Staff is really very friendly. Most of them came from Holland, England, Germany and Greece itself. Skala Kallonis is a small town by a bay. There are enough taverna's and some small shops. There is no massive tourism so Skala Kallonis is very suitable for people who like peace and quiet. We didnt really like the beach because of all the mess ( sigarettes etc) There were also a lot of stray dogs and straycats. You do need a car or scooter to explore the island, cause the excursions aren't well provided. We definitely plan to go back next year.

A simple hotel, simple food but all the nessecary things are present. Staff is friendly and helfpul. Location was perfect, a little walk to the beach and the village. Small village with enough restaurants and very cosy. Far from the touristic villages.

This hotel has such friendly staff!. From the cleaninglady to the reception and the bartender. Great. The rooms are sober. Bed is mainly very low. The airoconditioning worked fine. Beautiful pool with deckchairs and parasols. Breakfast was extensive for Greek standards ( especially on wednesday and sunday then there are eggs) we rented bikes for the entire week , the area is pretty flat so its good to do. If you dont care for luxury i would recommend this accommodation. There is a serene, relaxed and friendly holiday atmosphere
